Palm Fatty Acid Distillate (PFAD) is a by-product of physical refining of crude palm oil products and is composed of free fatty acids (81.7%), glycerides (14.4%), squalene (0.8%), vitamin E (0.5%), sterols (0.4%) and other substances (2.2%). PFAD is a light brown semi-solid at room temperature melting to a brown liquid on heating.

In 20 feet containers packed in flexi tanks of capacity appx. 21 metric tons each. Basis of shipment in containers can be CIF destination or FOB as required.
In bulk shipment of 1,500 to 5,000 metric tons per shipment directly from shore tanks available for loading at port. Basis of bulk shipment will be FOB only.

Crude palm oil’s main product is a refined bleach and deodorized palm oil. They are fractionated into RDB olein and stearin fractions by cooling down process and filter pressing process.
The main component of Palm Fatty Acid Distillate (PFAD) is free fatty acids, which are oleic, stearic and palmitic. Since Palm Fatty Acid Distillate (PFAD) contains mainly fatty acids and other impurities, its quality is less stable so that it needs short storage. This is the reason why fresh Palm Fatty Acid Distillate (PFAD) is more preferred to purchase; otherwise biodiesel quality that is resulted could be affected.
